Terms of Use
1. Agreement
These Terms are a contract between you and TL3 (“TL3”). They apply to tl3rds.com, The Late Thirds (thelatethirds.com), 3RDS (thelate3rds.com) and any app, tool, game or league software we provide (the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to these Terms and to the policies they reference: the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Community Rules, Memberships, Refunds & Cancellation policy, Disclaimer, Copyright & Takedown Policy and AI Disclosure. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. What the Services are
TL3 provides football research and reference (The Late Thirds), football games, fantasy tools and league software (3RDS), and company information, tutorials and support (tl3rds.com). The Services are for information, education and entertainment. The Services do not offer gambling, betting, odds, picks, sportsbook services, daily-fantasy contests, paid-entry contests or financial advice. See Our Stance.
3. Who may use the Services
- The Services are not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not use them.
- Visitors aged 13 to 17 may browse public pages only with the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if higher, to create an account, buy a membership, join or run a league, post in chat or send messages.
- The Services include adult themes, including strong language and references to alcohol and smoking.
4. Your account
One TL3 account can be used across The Late Thirds and 3RDS. When you sign up on one site, your username and email may be reserved on the other so you can join it later; this does not subscribe you to it. Give accurate information, keep your login private, and do not share, sell or transfer your account. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away at contact@thelatethirds.com if you think someone else has used it. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or create legal, security or operational risk.
5. Memberships and payments
Some features require a paid membership. Each site’s memberships are sold separately unless offered as a bundle. Prices, billing periods, free trials and renewal terms are shown before you pay, and the Memberships, Refunds & Cancellation policy applies. Payments are processed by our payment provider (currently Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.
6. Leagues and league software
TL3 may host some leagues and may license software that lets commissioners run leagues on their own custom app. Commissioners are responsible for their league, its members and its content, and for following these Terms. No league on or using our Services may be used for gambling, and TL3 does not collect, hold or pay out league money. Separate commissioner terms may apply to the league software.
7. Who owns what
Our Services. TL3 owns the Services and everything in them: text, research, profiles, rankings, grades, projections, data compilations, artwork, designs, games, tools, software, systems, names, formats, frameworks, and the intelligence our systems develop over time. Names such as TL3, The Late Thirds, 3RDS and respect. protect. win. are trademarks of TL3. Certain TL3 systems, methods and formats are the subject of ongoing intellectual property protection work, which may include patent applications. Nothing in these Terms gives you ownership of any of it.
What you build with our tools (“Creations”). Plays, formations and playbooks you draw, leagues and rule sets you set up, lineups, boards and saved work, and the names and results you make with our tools become part of the TL3 platform and belong to TL3. That lets them keep working, improving and connecting across our universe. You can keep using everything you build while your account is active. Legally, this means you assign your rights in Creations to TL3 and waive any moral rights in them; where an assignment is not allowed, you grant TL3 an exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license instead. Your personal information is never a Creation, and we never share it.
What you post (“Posts”). You keep ownership of material you bring to the Services (for example, your own photos or writing) and of your chat messages. You grant TL3 a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, store and moderate your Posts so the Services work, and to keep them as part of a league’s record. Your personal information is never a Creation; the Privacy Policy covers it.
Your use of our content. You may use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, scrape, crawl, republish, resell or redistribute our content or data, share paid content, or use the Services or their output to build or train a competing product or AI model, without our written permission.
8. Fair play and conduct
Follow the Community Rules. In particular, do not: cheat, exploit bugs or manipulate scores or standings; harass, threaten, dox or impersonate anyone; post illegal, hateful or sexually explicit content; spam or post malware; bypass paywalls, age rules or security; or use the Services for gambling, betting coordination, paid-entry contests or any illegal purpose. We may remove content, reset scores or standings, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
9. Real people, teams and leagues
TL3 is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the NFL, the NCAA, any team, league, school, player, players’ association or brand. Names are used to identify and comment on them. Artwork may be stylized, fictionalized or illustrative and does not suggest any endorsement. Rights holders may contact us under the Copyright & Takedown Policy.
10. AI-assisted content
Parts of the Services are researched, checked, written or updated with help from TL3’s AI systems, and some messages may come from our AI assistant (K33F3). See the AI Disclosure. AI output can be wrong; verify anything important.
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Football information changes quickly; we do not promise that content is complete, current or error-free, or that the Services will be uninterrupted. We do not guarantee any fantasy, draft, league or other result. See the Disclaimer.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, TL3 and its owner, contributors and staff are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid TL3 in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
13. Indemnity
If you break these Terms or the law, or your Posts or league cause a claim against TL3, you agree to cover TL3’s reasonable losses and costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows.
14. Changes and ending
We may change the Services or these Terms. We will update the date at the top and tell account holders about significant changes; using the Services after that means you accept them. You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for violations or risk. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limits, disputes) survive.
15. Governing law and disputes
Florida law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. If you live in a country whose law gives you the right to sue at home, that right is not affected.

17. Promotions and prizes
No promotions, giveaways or prizes are active on our Services. The Draft Night tool on 3RDS is a free randomizer that sets a fantasy draft order with an old-school bingo-raffle feel; it costs nothing to use and awards no prize. If we ever offer a promotion, it will be free to enter and will have its own official rules.
